At Wynnum General Gordon Kindy we have partnered with Containers for Change and Terracycle to make recycling easier for our kindy families!
Containers for Change – You can donate your used drink containers at kindy! With Containers for Change, we are raising money for kindy (to purchase some new outdoor resources) and helping the environment, by ensuring these recyclable containers are not ending up in landfill. Your eligible containers can be placed in the green collection bin located near the foyer at Kindy. Kindy families may like to ask neighbours or colleagues to help with collection, – all those extra drink containers add up! Eligible containers include: Those containing the 10-cent refund marking on their labels. e.g. aluminum cans, small flavoured milk cartons and poppers, glass wine and spirit bottles.
BIC and Terracycle Pen Recycling Program – You can recycle your used writing instruments at kindy! There is a pink bin located near the foyer entry where you can recycle: Pens, felt tips, highlighters, markers, mechanical pencils, correction tape and fluid pots, fountain pens and ink cartridges. Help keep these products out of landfill and help us reach our sustainability goals!
